After that she started preparing for IPCC with her full enthusiasm but taxation and auditing were so grey, even in 3 years and 4 attempts she wasn\u2019t able to clear IPCC.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>How did she get placed?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Even after 3 gap years in her profile, she got placed into one of the most desired core finance profiles (Investment Banking) after<br \/>\nsuccessfully completing 6 weeks Investment banking course from The Wallstreet School , through their dedicated placement cell.<br \/>\n\u201cI came to know about this course while scrolling through my Linkedin feed, where I met a girl, who had done this course earlier and was successfully placed as an Investment Banking Analyst\u201d, said Monika Agarwal.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Monika says,<\/p>\n<p>\u201d Do you have gap in your profile ?<\/p>\n<p>Are you a pessimist ? So, I started preparing for CAT.<\/p>\n<p>In 2018, I gave CAT and scored 62%.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Everything Blacked Out.<\/h3>\n<p>I was depressed, I had no social life. Past 6 years of my life turned me into an introvert and I felt like everything is over for me.<\/p>\n<p>I even joined JIMS, IP for MBA and after few weeks I discovered doing MBA from a mediocre college doesn\u2019t get you anywhere.<\/p>\n<p>So, I left.<\/p>\n<p>My field of interest was finance.<\/p>\n<p>So, I started looking for Jobs in financial sector but I wasn\u2019t getting any response, no firms were interested in hiring me.<\/p>\n<p>I also registered myself with naukri.com but still there was no response.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">What changed your life?<\/h3>\n<p>I met a girl on LinkedIn who suggested me to go for an Investment banking and, through her I connected with Himanshu sir (owner of Wall Street school )<\/p>\n<p>He briefed me about investment banking and how does an investment banker works. He understood my plight, and asked me to join, after an eligibility interview.<\/p>\n<p>Later, I joined Wall Street school and after 6 years, I felt \u201cfine\u201d. Teachers and my fellow mates were very supportive and I also learned how to talk to people, how to network and many more things.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">What did you learn?<\/h3>\n<p>Previously, I thought theoretical knowledge is very important and it is well applied in firms but while studying in The Wall Street School, I realized theoretical knowledge doesn\u2019t always work .<\/p>\n<p>And training is a key to understand real life business scenarios for an investment banker.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">How did you get a job?<\/h3>\n<p>Getting a job is not an easy task !<\/p>\n<p>You really need to understand needs of the industry.<\/p>\n<p>Himanshu sir demonstrated the big mistakes in my resume and helped me to make my resume better and more presentable.<\/p>\n<p>Paradoxically, I was laughing at my mistakes.
