Pranjal’s ACCA Transformation

From Missed Attempts to a Global Opportunity: Pranjal’s ACCA Transformation

Coming from a typical commerce background, many students begin their ACCA journey with a mix of hope and hesitation. They want a career in finance that feels global, meaningful and aligned with their long-term goals, but they are not always sure how to reach there.

Pranjal was one of them. He started with the basic ambition of building a solid foundation in finance and slowly realised that professional growth depends not only on clearing exams but also on understanding how the real world of business actually works.

As he moved ahead, he became more aware of the gap between his bookish knowledge and industry expectations. He knew he needed proper guidance, practical learning and mentors who could translate concepts into real decisions. That search eventually brought him to The Wall Street School for ACCA coaching, where he found a learning environment that matched his pace and helped him think beyond just passing papers.

From the early days of balancing studies and work to slowly gaining confidence in handling concepts with clarity, his journey has been a steady mix of discipline, effort and self-growth.

Today, he stands on a much stronger professional path and his story reflects how the right training and mindset can reshape an entire career direction.

Here’s what Pranjal shared about his journey-

1.First of all congratulations on getting placed at a top firm. So what was that moment like when you received the offer?

It was around 10:30 pm and I was just coming back from the office when I saw the subject line “Workday – SS&C welcomes you” appear in my inbox. I had been managing ACCA studies, job hunting and interviews for a while, so seeing something finally fall into place felt really satisfying. It was a small step, but it was in the direction I always wanted to move toward.

The first thing I did was call my dad. He was happy and proud, and he said, “Till here everything was good and in the future as well things will be even better, so don’t stress too much.”

That night felt like a mix of achievement and gratitude. It reminded me that every small step matters.

2. When you decided to go for ACCA, how did you end up choosing The Wall Street School for your classes?

I started pursuing ACCA around 2–2.5 years ago, right after graduation, while also preparing for CA. At that time, I was feeling a bit stuck in my career and wanted something more globally relevant and practical that’s what drew me toward ACCA. I began the course on my own, but without a proper strategy, I didn’t clear my first attempt. That experience made me realize how important proper guidance is and I started looking for institutes. That’s when I came to know about The Wall Street School. I compared multiple options, spoke with students already studying there, checked LinkedIn feedback and read online reviews. What made me more curious was TWSS’s strong placement record, offline classes, small batch sizes and practical teaching approach. The classes helped me understand concepts clearly and connect them with real-life scenarios, making learning far more meaningful.

3. Every ACCA journey has its own ups and downs. What were some challenges you faced along the way?

One of the biggest challenges for me was managing studies with work. Working in the investment banking mid-office meant 14–15-hour workdays during peak periods and long commutes from Faridabad to Gurgaon. So staying consistent with studies wasn’t easy.

Another challenge was lack of professional guidance and networking. Most people around me came from auditing backgrounds, while I was aiming for a different finance domain so I often had to figure things out on my own or from my trainers in doubt sessions.

And, of course, time management was critical. With ACCA exams typically scheduled in the first week of every quarter and demanding monthly deadlines at work, balancing revisions and job duties required extreme discipline.

Also, there were several missed attempts along the way, but each taught me valuable lessons in planning, organization and mindset. Failure, in hindsight, became part of my preparation.

4. How much do you think ACCA coaching helped you during the job placement process?

What I observed during my coaching was that most of the faculty teaching here are working professionals with real industry experience. They did not just explain theory but shared practical examples from their own work, which made learning much clearer.

Our mentor, Shilpi Ma’am, guided me whenever I faced difficulties in understanding certain topics. Over time, I began to relate classroom concepts to how things actually happen in the finance world. This approach helped me understand the logic behind each topic instead of just memorising definitions.

During my interviews, this understanding helped me discuss topics with more confidence and explain how they are applied in real situations. That made a positive difference in the way I communicated my ideas.

This success story of ACCA student Pranjal is a reminder that even when the path feels slow or challenging, consistency and the right guidance can completely reshape where you end up…
