When Shreya logged into her very first online ACCA class, she wasn’t sure if this was going to work. “Will I really be able to sit in front of a screen and learn? What if I lose focus? What if I fail?” These questions swirled in her mind. But months later, she sat with a big smile, having cleared not just one, but two of the toughest ACCA papers, Financial Management (FM) and Financial Reporting (FR).
What’s more inspiring is that her ACCA preparation also gave her the discipline and clarity she needed to succeed in her CA Intermediate exams. She realized the power of structured study, regular practice and mentor guidance not just for ACCA, but across all exams she attempted.

Every student asks at some point: “Why ACCA?” For Shreya, the answer was simple global opportunities and practical learning.

Starting with Doubts: “Will Online Coaching Work for Me?”
In the beginning, Shreya wasn’t confident about online learning. She feared losing discipline, skipping studies, and being left behind.
But once her classes started, things changed. Structured lessons, practice with Kaplan kits, constant guidance and regular tests gave her a flow. Online coaching turned from something she feared into the very system that helped her succeed.
Below is our conversation with Shreya — Straight from her experience
Q: Congratulations, Shreya, on clearing both FM and FR. How did you feel when you saw the results?
Shreya: Thank you! I was very happy and relaxed at the same time. Passing one exam feels good, but when I saw that I had passed both FM and FR, I felt proud. All those late nights and early mornings finally felt worth it.
Q: What made you choose ACCA in the first place?
Shreya: I chose ACCA because it is known all over the world. With ACCA, I can work in many countries, not just in India. The subjects are also practical. They don’t just teach theory, but also things that are useful in real jobs. That made it different from traditional exams and also helped me with CA Intermediate. The logical way I learned to think during ACCA proved very useful in my CA journey too.
Q: You once doubted online classes. What changed your mind?
Shreya: Yes, I thought online classes would not work for me. But then I met Meet Panchal Sir. He was always there to help me, even if I called him late at night or early in the morning. He explained things so clearly that even difficult topics became easy. We solved a lot of Kaplan study kit and exam kit questions together, which gave me real confidence. And the regular tests he gave us in coaching helped me see where I stood. Once I followed his method, I felt sure that online classes could really work.
Q: Coaching and mentorship seem important for you. How did they help?
Shreya: Coaching and mentorship were very important. The coaching gave me structure and regular tests made me ready for the real exam. But apart from that, I want to thank Shilpi Ma’am. Since the first day, she guided me like a mentor who never lets you feel lost. She would check if I had finished my syllabus, remind me about mock tests and even message me personally to make sure I was on track. Whenever I felt stuck, she was just one call away.
Q: Looking back, what do you think made the biggest difference in clearing FM and FR?
Shreya: Three things: practice, tests and support. I solved questions every day, which made me confident. The tests gave me the feeling of a real exam and helped me learn from my mistakes. And whenever I had a doubt, my teachers and mentors were there to guide me. Together, these three things made the biggest difference.
Q: Any final advice for students starting their ACCA journey?
Shreya: Don’t get scared by the big syllabus, whether it’s ACCA or CA. Try to divide it into smaller parts and study a little every day. Solve lots of questions and take the practice tests seriously. If you have a doubt, clear it right away. Be consistent. Even small daily efforts can bring big results in the end. If you’re preparing for both, let one help the other. For me, ACCA gave me the confidence I needed to clear CA Intermediate.
