Who is eligible for the CFA Program?+
You can register for CFA Level I if you're in the final year of a bachelor's degree, have completed a bachelor's, or have about 4,000 hours (roughly two years) of professional work experience. The charter additionally requires passing all three levels, 4,000 hours of qualified experience over at least 36 months, references and CFA Institute membership.
What is the eligibility for the FRM exam?+
GARP sets no education prerequisite to sit the FRM exam — students and working professionals can register for Part I directly. FRM certification requires passing Part I and Part II plus two years of relevant full-time work experience, which can be submitted within five years of passing Part II.
Can I do CFA or FRM while in college?+
Yes. You can sit CFA Level I in your final year, and FRM Part I has no education requirement, so you can start while studying and build the required work experience afterward.
